Raillord: Kingwood
Kingwood is the obvious choice for Raillord. He is the de facto king of No Peel for crying out loud. Kingwood is very fancy and very cool, like Raillord. It is very expensive and is used for stuff like thrones and chess pieces. Raillord is a bit of a chess tactician in the OW field. If you disagree with this pick, you can f*ck off.
OG: Willow
Willow trees are typically found in the northern hemisphere, which is I think where OG also lives. Willow roots are remarkable for their toughness and tenacity to live, similar to OG's tenacity to live while spinning around the point. Willow roots also sprout from aerial part of the tree, similar to how OG leaps on unsuspecting foes from above on Ball and Monkey.
Realboty: Carob
Carob trees produce large beans to house their seeds, much like Realboty when he is playing the new character named Lori Lightfoot. The Carob tree’s beans can be used to make sweets such as cookies, much like Realboty when he is on the Brigitte.
Hakobo: Pine
Pine trees produce sharp needles in place of leaves. Hakobo has sharp, needle-like precision in game. Pine is one of the most extensively used trees for lumber. Similarly, Hakobo is extensively used by the MOO on every map in Overwatch. Some species of Pine have thin, flaky bark. This is a reference to how hakobo sometimes flakes on the Overwatch team and retires.
ChicagoBias: Giant Sequoia
Giant Sequoias are the most massive trees on earth. Similarly, ChicagoBias commonly pilots the most massive character in Overwatch: Reinhardt. Giant Sequoias are listed as an endangered species. ChicagoBias is an endangered species on the OW map due to inting and dying so many times. Sequoias are generally found in the west coast of the US and have been unfortunately ravaged by wildfires and earthquakes. Likewise, ChicagoBias charges the enemy Rein ult by soaking up firestrikes and gets earthshattered to the ground.
NekoNekoNyan: Maple
Maple trees are famously tapped for their sticky substance that they harbor within their bark: sap. And just like sap, Neko is the sticky substance that binds the Overwatch team together. Refining this sticky substance gives us that yummy sweet brown sauce that goes on pancakes: maple syrup. Neko is sweet as syrup and loooooves breakfast food.
TruBuddha: Mahogany
Mahogany is a commercially important lumber prized for its beauty. TruBuddha is also prized for his beautiful hitscan gameplay in OW. The Belizean coat of arms features a Mahogany tree with the words Sub umbra floreo, Latin for "under the shade I flourish". This slogan could also apply to TruBuddha, who flourishes when enemies try to throw shade at him. 😈
LastStand: Cell Tower That Looks Like A Tree
Picture this: a tree. But twist! That is no tree!! That is a beacon for 5G! This reminds me of LastStand, because the tree is a robot, much like the character that LastStand 1 tricks: Bastion.
JohnV1: Sigillaria
After doing extensive research I stumbled upon this little tree. It became extinct over 300 million years ago, much like JohnV1’s coaler gameplay.
